A women's barbershop quartet
Four voices. One chord. Ringing harmony that hits every corner of the room.
Our story
From The Top formed in a church basement rehearsal room with four singers who couldn't stop finishing each other's chords. What started as a lark for a regional chorus showcase turned into a full-time quartet, a stack of medals, and a shared conviction that a locked, ringing chord can quiet a room faster than anything else in music.
We sing the barbershop songbook the way it was meant to be heard — tight, tuned, and entirely unplugged when the room allows it — while writing new arrangements that keep the tradition feeling alive. Comedy numbers, tear-jerking ballads, and the kind of key change that makes an audience gasp: it's all part of the set.
“Four ordinary voices walk in. One extraordinary chord walks out.”
— From The Top, on what a warm-up circle actually sounds likeMeet the quartet
Every voice in a barbershop quartet carries the chord differently. Here's who's holding which part on any given night.

Tenor
Sits above the melody and makes it shimmer. Founding member; keeper of the pitch pipe.

Lead
Carries the melody and the mic banter in equal measure. The voice you'll hum on the drive home.

Baritone
Fills the chord from the middle out — the hardest part to sing and the first thing you'd miss.

Bass
The floor the other three stand on. If the chord rings, it's because the bottom note locked first.
Listen
Six tracks of tags, ballads, and one very risky uptune, recorded live to capture the chord the way a room actually hears it.
